Network Administrator Intermediate – TS/SCI required

Join GDIT as a Network Administrator – Intermediate, supporting Army Intelligence mission-critical network operations while advancing your career in enterprise IT.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and usage of the local area network.
• Support routing and connectivity configurations using OSPF, BGP, GRE tunnels, and DMVPN.
• Collaborate with network services, systems engineering, and application development teams to restore service and resolve core issues.
• Monitor and maintain network performance and security, troubleshoot routing and connectivity issues, and enforce policies.
• Install, configure, and evaluate network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, and telecommunications systems.

Required profile

• Associate degree (may be waived based on experience).
• 7+ years of related experience (may be waived for strong proficiency).
• Active US citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Required skills

• Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, QoS.
• Network hardware: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points.
• Operating systems: Windows and Linux administration fundamentals.
• Tools: network analyzers, packet capture tools, performance monitoring platforms.
• Tunneling/VPN: GRE tunnels, DMVPN, IPSec fundamentals.
• WAN technologies: MPLS (LDP), L3VPN (BGP AFI vpnv4).
• Security: access control, network hardening, STIG compliance, DoW Cybersecurity requirements.
• Certifications: CCNA/CCNA‑Security, Security+ (IAT Level II/8140), DoW 8570.01‑M IAT Level II.
