Security Guard – UN House (Nationals Only)

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme is seeking a Security Guard (Nationals Only) to ensure the safety and integrity of the UN House premises in Bishkek. The guard will work under the direction of the UNDP National Security Officer, performing continuous monitoring, access control, visitor management, and emergency response to protect staff, property, and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain physical security of the UN House building, territory and assets by patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment and conducting night‑shift checks.
• Enforce access‑control procedures for personnel, visitors and vehicles, operate gate systems and keep accurate entry‑exit logs.
• Greet visitors, verify identification, manage incoming mail and parcels, and handle phone calls with professionalism.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire or security alarms, coordinate evacuations and report incidents to the National Security Officer.
• Prepare daily security reports, log movements of property, and communicate any security weaknesses or violations.
• Maintain a visible deterrent presence, report suspicious activities, and cooperate with local police when needed.
• Observe work discipline, adhere to shift schedules, and support team objectives as directed by supervisors.
