Accounts Analyst

About the role

Agrocorp International is seeking an Accounts Analyst to support its global finance team. The role involves a broad range of accounting tasks, from payment processing to financial reporting, within a fast‑moving agri‑commodities environment.

Key responsibilities

• Check and process payments to growers and suppliers in CAD and USD, ensuring accurate settlement records and invoice matching.
• Liaise with accounting and other departments to resolve payment errors and obtain senior‑management approval for payment runs.
• Review and approve direct and indirect expenses such as ocean freight, rail freight, and transloading invoices.
• Maintain communication with the AP lead and office team to monitor payment status.
• Reconcile outstanding payables and post sales transactions.
• Prepare weekly accounts‑receivable reports, analyse aged receivables, and follow up with customers alongside the operations team.
• Update receipts in both accounting and operations software.
• Manage entity funds, raise pro‑forma and commercial invoices for funding, and perform ad‑hoc analyses and reconciliations.
• Support month‑end closing, MIS reporting, year‑end audit preparation, and inventory reconciliations as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to ask detailed questions, identify discrepancies, and prioritize tasks against deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and pivot tables.
