Communications Assistant – Visual Design

About the role

The Communications Assistant will support the Communications Director by creating visual content for print, photography, and web platforms. Working within a collaborative creative team, you will help bring fresh design ideas to life while supporting weekly communication tasks for the ministry.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Graphic Designer on creative projects and generate new design concepts.
• Develop visual assets for ministry leaders’ requests, including print materials, signage, and digital media.
• Assist with routine communications duties such as printing bulletins, setting up signage, and distributing emails.
• Provide backup support for production roles, including lyrics preparation and camera operation.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.

Required profile

• Affirm the church’s Statement of Faith and be willing to become a member.
• One year of design experience.
• Strong communicator who works well in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to juggle several projects at once.
• Servant‑hearted with high integrity and dependability.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets).
• Photography skills (preferred).
• Familiarity with MacOS operating system.
