Head of Marketing – Blockchain & Web3 Venture

About the role

Improbable is building a next‑generation blockchain platform for real‑time, large‑scale applications. We are looking for a Head of Marketing to turn this technology into market adoption, trading volume and a recognised position in the Web3 ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the marketing and growth strategy across the Layer 1 protocol, first‑party DEX, prediction‑markets protocol and future products.
• Design and execute acquisition, activation and retention programmes for traders, developers, partners and the broader Web3 community.
• Craft the venture’s narrative, positioning and go‑to‑market plans for each product launch.
• Build and lead a high‑performing marketing function, setting clear accountability and aligning internal and external specialists with commercial outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven senior marketing leadership experience in both Web2 financial products and Web3 (DeFi, DEX, Layer 1/2).
• Track record of end‑to‑end ownership of positioning, go‑to‑market and growth, with measurable impact on users, volume or revenue.
• Data‑driven decision‑making ability, comfortable using metrics to prioritise and measure results.
• Hands‑on mindset while leading teams, capable of stepping into execution for critical launches.

Required skills

• Experience with product‑led marketing in fintech or traditional finance.
• Deep understanding of acquisition, activation and retention frameworks.
• Familiarity with Web3 ecosystems, including DeFi, DEX and blockchain protocols.
