About the role
The Inspection and Coding Specialist is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of inspection and coding systems within a manufacturing environment. This role supports process control software, maintains equipment, and applies VPO principles to improve plant availability and product quality.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret process specifications and modify/optimise process control software.
- Identify and resolve software deviations, supporting change‑management procedures.
- Maintain integrity and security of process control software.
- Develop and upgrade preventative maintenance procedures for inspection and coding systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair packaging inspection and coding equipment, working with manufacturers as needed.
- Calibrate, maintain and optimise plant equipment to ensure safety, health and environmental compliance.
- Support installation, upgrades and enhancements of new and existing equipment.
Required profile
- HND or B.Sc. in Engineering studies or a trade‑tested Millwright/Electrician qualification.
- 3‑6 months on‑the‑job training plus vendor maintenance experience.
- Ability to work safely, follow VPO principles and contribute to continuous improvement.
