Project Lead - Facilities & Engineering

About the role

An international industrial organisation operating in a regulated environment is strengthening its project delivery capabilities across multiple sites. It is offering a 3-month consulting assignment for a Project Lead in facilities and engineering, combining project management, compliance and field execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering projects from concept through implementation and handover.
• Prepare and manage GMP documentation including URS, change controls, deviations, CAPAs and procedures.
• Coordinate external suppliers, contractors and engineering service providers throughout project lifecycles.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning and qualification activities.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, quality and safety requirements across all project activities.
• Act as a key stakeholder during shutdown activities and critical project execution phases.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, Engineering and HSE teams to ensure project alignment.
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables and risks while driving efficient execution.
• Participate in FAT, SAT and validation-related activities when required.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across facilities and technical operations.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device sectors.
• Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and quality systems.
• Hands-on experience managing change controls, URS and technical documentation.
• Ability to balance office-based documentation work with on-site operational activities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; pragmatic, delivery-focused and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
