About the role
The Inspection and Coding Specialist is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable operation of packaging inspection and coding equipment, applying VPO principles and supporting process control software optimisation.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret process description specifications and modify/optimise process control software.
- Identify and resolve process control software deviations and support change‑management activities.
- Maintain software integrity, security and preventative‑maintenance procedures for inspection and coding systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate packaging inspection and coding equipment to maximise plant availability and product quality.
- Support installation, upgrades and enhancements of new and existing equipment, coordinating with manufacturers and field representatives.
Required profile
- HND or B.Sc. in Engineering studies or trade‑tested Millwright/Electrician.
- 3‑6 months on‑the‑job training plus vendor maintenance experience.
- Commitment to a safe and healthy working environment and compliance with safety legislation.
Required skills
- Process control software configuration and optimisation.
- Inspection and coding system troubleshooting.
- Electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
- Calibration of instruments and equipment.
- Application of VPO principles.
