Packaging Instrument Artisan

About the role

We are looking for a Packaging Instrument Artisan to maintain and improve control and automation equipment within our brewery. The role focuses on field instrumentation, networks and manufacturing execution systems, ensuring reliable operation of packaging and brewing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize and troubleshoot process control systems across the brewery.
• Support installation of new control equipment and interpret process specifications.
• Identify and resolve process control deviations, recommending solutions.
• Maintain integrity and security of control hardware and software.
• Develop and update preventative maintenance procedures for control systems.
• Coach trainees, apprentices and operators to build a sustainable skill pipeline.
• Perform standby duties and adhere to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven technical knowledge of level, temperature, pressure, conductivity and pH instrumentation and calibration.
• Understanding of control system architecture, including servers, PLCs, workstations and network switches.
• Experience with data historian systems such as InSQL.
• Familiarity with Fieldbus technologies (ASI, Profibus, CAN bus, industrial Ethernet) – advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities on PLC, SCADA, batch and fieldbus systems.
• Knowledge of brewing, utilities and packaging processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
