Packaging Machine Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Packaging Machine Specialist to maintain, repair and optimise our packaging line equipment. The role ensures high plant availability and product quality while keeping costs low and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer to shift‑based teams on machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Act as functional expert for problem solving, supporting zones and participating in regional optimisation trials.
• Assist process artisans with machine set‑up, fault finding and corrective actions, and up‑skill them with the latest standard work instructions.
• Participate in maintenance planning meetings, contribute suggestions and ensure the maintenance backlog meets required hours.
• Execute planned maintenance tasks within scheduled windows and support teammates during these periods.
• Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and inspections according to the maintenance schedule, and report any issues to the planner.
• Perform condition monitoring activities as allocated and apply structured problem‑solving techniques to resolve incidents.
• Support housekeeping and safety practices on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial machine maintenance, preferably in packaging equipment.
• Ability to coach and transfer knowledge to operational teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a systematic approach to problem solving.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
