Uzbek/Russian Linguist (CAT III)

About the role

Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a qualified Uzbek/Russian Linguist (CAT III) to provide high‑quality translation, transcription, and interpretation services in support of U.S. operations. The role involves working in austere environments and delivering culturally accurate language support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate consecutive translation, transcription, and interpretation from Uzbek and Russian into English and vice versa.
• Translate colloquial, slang, and idiomatic expressions across all three languages.
• Provide cultural and ethnic context for statements, conversations, and documents.
• Scan, research, and analyze foreign‑language documents.
• Travel and operate in austere or remote locations as required.

Required profile

• Native‑level proficiency in Uzbek, Russian, and English (ILR Level 3/3 preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of regional cultures and prior experience working in the area.
• U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to work under stress, meet tight deadlines, and lift up to 50 lb.
• Medical fitness, including hearing standards and required immunizations.
