Director, M&A & Project Finance - Clean Energy

About the role

We are seeking a Director to lead M&A and project finance transactions across Southeast Asia for a leading international financial institution. The role focuses on renewable energy, power and sustainable infrastructure projects, providing strategic advisory and execution support to corporate and institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structuring and execution of buy‑side and sell‑side M&A and project finance deals in the renewable energy sector.
• Advise clients on acquisitions, divestments, strategic investments and capital raising.
• Develop detailed financial models, valuation analyses and transaction documentation.
• Coordinate due‑diligence processes and manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Support business development and origination initiatives across solar, wind and energy infrastructure projects.
• Provide market insights and transaction advice specific to Southeast Asian energy and infrastructure markets.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with corporates, investors and financial institutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, project finance or transaction advisory.
• Proven experience executing transactions in renewable energy, power, utilities or infrastructure.
• Exposure to both M&A advisory and structured/project finance transactions is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Experience on both buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across complex regional deals.
• Deep understanding of Southeast Asian energy and infrastructure markets.
