Director, Platform Engineering

About the role

SingleStore is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to lead the teams that build and operate the internal engineering platforms, infrastructure services, and developer experience. You will shape the strategy and execution of multi‑cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling that enable engineers to develop, test, secure, and deploy software at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Platform Engineering organization covering developer infrastructure, CI/CD systems, release engineering, internal cloud platforms, and productivity tooling.
• Own and operate core services such as identity and access management (Keycloak, FreeIPA), VPN and secure remote access, NetBox/IPAM, internal DNS, and cloud networking.
• Drive the evolution of scalable developer platforms and CI/CD pipelines to improve engineering velocity, build reliability, and deployment safety.
• Champion infrastructure‑as‑code, automation frameworks, and AI‑assisted operational tooling to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, IT, and Product leaders to standardize workflows, modernize platform capabilities, and ensure reliability, security, and scalability across multi‑cloud environments.

Required profile

• Deep technical leadership experience building and operating large‑scale platform and infrastructure systems.
• Proven ability to define long‑term platform strategy, mentor engineering teams, and solve complex architectural and operational challenges.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional leaders in engineering, security, and product.
