Security Guard – UN House

About the role

The Security Guard will ensure the safety and physical integrity of the UN House premises, its staff, visitors and assets. Working primarily during night shifts, the role involves patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment and enforcing access control procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the physical integrity and safety of the office, its property, main building and surrounding territory.
• Monitor the overall security situation by staying on security posts and observing surveillance cameras.
• Conduct night‑shift patrols, walking through premises, corridors and entrances.
• Enforce access control for UN personnel, visitors, service providers and vehicles.
• Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry and restraining trespassers.
• Respond to emergency security incidents and support emergency enforcement measures.

Required profile

• Ability to work night shifts and remain vigilant for extended periods.
• Capability to perform physical patrols throughout the building and its surroundings.
• Authority to enforce access‑control procedures and manage entry of personnel and vehicles.
