Director of Government Relations

About the role

Yandex Kyrgyzstan is looking for a Government Relations Director to lead its engagement with government authorities in Kyrgyzstan. Yandex Kyrgyzstan is part of Yango Group, a global technology ecosystem delivering ride-hailing, delivery, e-commerce, mapping, entertainment, AI and other digital services in more than 30 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a strategy with business teams, Legal and PR to advance the company's interests with government authorities in Kyrgyzstan.
• Identify business priorities and turn them into an engagement agenda with senior executives, city administrations and parliament.
• Monitor and analyse key economic trends in the country.
• Keep business teams informed about government initiatives affecting the company and propose solutions for a favourable operating environment.
• Prepare submissions, letters, briefing notes, presentations and analytical materials for government authorities.
• Organise meetings between company leadership and key stakeholders, and represent the company at public events.
• Manage the delivery of company projects in collaboration with relevant government authorities.

Required profile

• University degree in international relations, law, economics or political science.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Resilience under pressure and a results focus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and defend positions persuasively.
• High autonomy and accountability, planning work around company priorities and assessing risks.
• Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects and to work as part of a team.
