Tech Control Facility Technician III (Overseas)

About the role

GDIT is hiring a Tech Control Facility Technician III to support AFCENT on an overseas customer site. The technician helps keep communications systems safe and reliable by solving complex problems, exercising independent judgment and maintaining equipment. The position requires a Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate, install, maintain and repair electronic, mechanical and other components and equipment
• Serve as a team or task leader, coaching and reviewing the work of less experienced staff
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues
• Provide advice and on-site training to customer support personnel
• Maintain NET Promina equipment (KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries), Cisco routers and switches, patch and maintenance panels, and fiber optic modems and interface cards

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, repairing and troubleshooting communications systems or equipment, including supervision and shop practices
• Ability to solve complex problems, understand circuit interrelationships and exercise independent judgment
• Secret clearance and US citizenship required
• DoD 8570.01-M certification or equivalent per task order; Security+ and CCNA (Routing and Switching or Service Provider) expected
