Utilities Machine Specialist

About the role

The Utilities Machine Specialist is responsible for maintaining, repairing and optimizing the E&F plant and its associated equipment. The role ensures high plant availability and product quality while minimizing cost and adhering to standards. You will work closely with production teams to drive performance improvements across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to support E&F production teams and achieve optimal plant performance.
• Provide line support for situational and systemic problem‑solving.
• Execute process optimisation initiatives and capability studies.
• Support design and execution of regional capital projects, including small CAPIN projects.
• Coach process engineering trainees and help close technological gaps.
• Manage and implement improvement projects to enhance plant stability and capability.
• Ensure all work follows VPO principles and complies with GOP requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years experience as a Utilities Technician.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Proven ability to develop project plans and meet deadlines.
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives.
